This study aims to determine the influence of using Quillbot on the writing skills of 3rd semester students of English Language Education Study Program at University of Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. Quillbot is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based tool that is used to help users in paraphrasing, correcting grammar, and improving the quality of writing. In this study, the researcher want to see what extent quillbot can help students improve their writing skills in english. The method used in this study was quantitative with a pre-experimental design (one group pretest and posttest design). The researcher sample consisted of 31 students from the third semester. The results showed that there was increase in students’ writing scores after using Quillbot, which means Quillbot has an impact on students’ writing skills.
