This study aims to develop an English teaching module through the Digtogloss
strategy in teaching listening comprehension, focusing on Narrative Text material
for XI grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Kuok. The research method used is
Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes five
stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The
module was developed to include lesson plan, teaching materials, dictogloss based
learning activities, audio materials, student worksheets, exercise and assessment
tools, and was tested through two implementation stages: small group, and large
group test involving a total of 20 students. The results of the pre-test and post-test
showed a significant improvement in students' listening comprehension, supported
by positive student respons about the module. Based on validation results,
practicality, and effectiveness, this English teaching module is considered
appropriate and effective as an alternative learning tool to improve students’
listening comprehension.
