The Influence Of Flashcard As Media Towards Students'
Writing Skill In X Grade Students At Smkn 1 Kuok
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of using flashcards
as a learning medium to improve the writing skill of tenth-grade students at
SMKN 1 Kuok during the 2024/2025 academic year. This research
employed a quasi-experimental design, involving 40 students divided into
two groups: the experimental class (X ATP) and the control class (X
APAT), each comprising 20 students. The experimental group was taught
using flashcards, while the control group received instruction through
traditional textbooks. Data analysis was carried out using a T-test. The
findings revealed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is less than the
significance threshold of 0.05. As a result, the null hypothesis (Ho) was
rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This
demonstrates a significant difference in the writing abilities of students
taught with flashcards compared to those taught using conventional
methods. In summary, the results indicate that incorporating flashcards into
writing instruction can effectively enhance students’ writing skill.
